Feature: Photos from Hedi Slimane's Diary. I really enjoyed seeing these seemingly disparate photos from Hedi Slimane's online "diary" since they map out his aesthetic through different objects or people. The consistent use of black and white and a larger-than-life effect definitely resonates in all the photos and gives you a sense of his style inspiration and experience beyond his infamously fitted Dior Homme suits. All from hedislimane.com.

Feature: Rittenhouse. Talk about fashion you'd actually wear. For some, Aussie-label Rittenhouse would be a little understated, but for others much like myself, Rittenhouse exudes an effortless everyday chic. I've been dying to show their collections but I don't think their website has been up for very long. Enjoy a new staple label from across the other ocean -- I'd even say they're as good as cult-label A.P.C. back in the good ol' days -- at the very least, they're definitely aiming for the same consumer. All in all, I just appreciate their natural textures, subdued colors and simple shapes. Images courtesy of rittenhouse.

Feature: Outerwear.
Since the weather just skipped straight from Summer to Winter here, jackets and coats have been on my mind. I don't actually have the bank to afford any of these items but I think they work as fashion inspiration even if you're on the market for more affordable options. I'm featuring pretty different styles (for different weathers) just because I love each of the shapes and colors -- plus, if you're like me, you love layering so keeping your options open during the winter is always a plus. All jackets from lagarconne.com.

Feature: Samu-Jussi Koski. Though I take prints in moderation, I think Samu-Jussi Koski's Fall line creates simple silhouettes in the perfect shades. The rich colors and Merimekko prints create a happy bricolage of cold weather pieces. I applaud Koski for her perfect balance of black and prints. The looks are perfectly cheerful for the usually gloomy winter. Images courtesy of samuji.com.
