Feature: Rodebjer Blix. On the night of my birthday, I bumped into one of my favorite Austin gals, Lauren Thumlert, owner of Bows + Arrows. Funny thing was, I first saw the back of her dress and thought to myself, "Wow, that is gorgeous," only to find out that it was unsurprisingly one of the most stylish people I know. Ever since, I haven't been able to get it out of my mind. I also think it would be lovely as a causal wedding gown if only it came in white. Images courtesy of shopbowplusarrows.com.

Feature: Koi Suwannagate. Along with an understated ease, the combination of draping, futuristic structure and lady-like rosettes of Koi Suwannagate's Fall 2009 collection really appeal to me. I particularly appreciate her ability to combine greys and brown across a gradation of shades. Born in Thailand, Suwannagate describes the inspiration for her line: "It’s all in the detail! I liked the old times when things took time to be made. I appreciate the value of vintage clothing and draw much inspiration from antique pieces and organic shapes. I love femininity paired with imperfection." Her collection clearly captures this imperfection as pieces of "hand-sculpted creations of multilayered luxurious fabrics." Feature: Bambako. Since I've had bangs, I find hand bands really useful for those days where I just want to keep my hair out of my face. And although I really love some of the head bands at trendy stores like urban outfitters, I find it really disappointing to see other girls wearing the same ones (at the same time, in the same place...). Fortunately, Abigail from Bambako recently contacted me about her gorgeous head bands that come in amazing colors, styles and prices. I especially love her unique attachments, vintage detailing and pops of colors. My favorite head band has got to be the one with the silver loops and button!
Luckily for you guys, Abigail contacted me about doing a giveaway for one of her lovely handbands. All you have to do is leave a comment with your email address on this post and I'll do a drawing on Friday, March 27th to figure out the winner. I'll announce the results the same day and the lucky winner will receive a beautiful little head band of their choice out of the two head bands featured in the very last image (with either the pink feather or bow) so good luck!
**Update: The winner of this drawing is Akemi Okamura. Congratulations Akemi!**

Feature: Online Sample Sales (produce black holes in the universe). Do you see how the girl in the picture is telling you to hold on... well that is what I've been doing for the past 2 hours at Built By Wendy's Online Sample Sale. Although I usually feature things I like on this blog, I will have to say that this is a rare exception of what I do not like.
To be honest, I always wondered why more stores or designers don't do "online sample sales" but after waiting for what seems like half an eternity on Built by Wendy's online sample sale's website, I think I know why. Online sample sales are bombed by 20,000+ people at one time and servers can't handle it. I don't think I will ever shop an "online" sample sale again unless any of you have advice about how to handle them without wasting 2 hours hitting the refresh button online. Seriously though, I can't believe I just did this. :/

Feature: Ilse Jacobsen rubber boots. In the spirit of sharing my purchases, I've been lusting after these rubber boots for some time now and purchased them at Oak in Williamsburg yesterday. They are the most perfect all weather boot I've ever put on since they're lined with wool, have an incredibly comfortable sole and fit my legs perfectly. I especially love the Chloe like stitching above the sole. I love these boots so much that I woke up this morning excited to wear them in the snow!
