Please indulge me even if you've seen it. There isn't much more that I can say about Givenchy's F/W 3011 Haute Couture collection because it speaks for itself. It is just quite frankly exquisite. Sometimes people ask me what couture is and why isn't it wearable? It seems on the surface like an opulent endeavor but at the heart of it, it is -- as all fashion appreciators take for granted -- art. My boyfriend watched the video above and it helped him understand the importance of Riccardo Tisci's disegno and the devoted labor sewn into each bead, pearl and seam of his garments.
